Babuk Exposes BreachForums User for Betrayal

B

The notorious ransomware group Babuk has publicly exposed a BreachForums user, “Rey,” accusing them of breaking an agreement and leaking sensitive data.

The Betrayal (lol!)

Babuk claims that Rey, a user on BreachForums, initially struck a deal with them, purchasing stolen data for approximately $200,000 and agreeing not to share it elsewhere. However, Rey allegedly violated this agreement by leaking information related to Orange.com and other data on the forum, falsely claiming ownership.

Babuk, which had been monitoring Rey for a long time, sees this as an act of deception and has decided to make the betrayal public. To reinforce their warning, they have even shared doxing details about the individual.

This incident highlights the infighting and distrust within cybercriminal communities, where alliances can shift rapidly, and betrayal often leads to public exposure – and at the end it’s good news for all the people fighting with cyber criminals!
